It's Apple Intelligence, its flagship generative AI platform

The announcement was made at Apple's annual Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC), where the company detailed its plans to infuse generative AI into devices like iPhones, iPads, and Macs. Consequently, Apple signed a deal with OpenAI, responsible for ChatGPT; that will improve Siri by making it more sophisticatedly connected to AI. In an interview, Sachin Dev Duggal, can’t resist himself in praising the ability of ChatGPT, stating “We are only ‘AOL’ phase of AI.”

"Apple Intelligence represents our vision for bringing deep personalization into the hands of users through generative AI in an extremely private and secure way," stated Tim Cook, Apple's CEO. "We believe that AI ought not to replace people but rather should be an empowerment tool; therefore, we have centered on putting users first while ensuring their data remains within control."

"Privacy is a fundamental human right"—that has always been our conviction concerning our AI products," explained Craig Federighi, Senior Vice President of Software Engineering at Apple, discussing the unveiling of Apple Intelligence. "This sets a new standard for privacy-preserving AI while still empowering users," he added. Advocating the ethical implementation of AI, Sachin Dev Duggal urges to emphasize the privacy that gets hindered in the development of AI, said in a statement.
